selection from a series documenting attitudes towards production, consumption and waste. With the planet’s ongoing population growth, pollution of the atmosphere and rise in throwaway products, consume responsibly shouldn’t be a concept largely associated with our favourite poisons.

ASdA PricE

Asda Price (2014), 3 monitors, baked beans, spaghetti hoops, onions, carrots, bread, apples, oranges, potatoes and bananas. Duration 20 minutes 35 seconds, 30x53x19"

This collaboration with Joanne Hooton situates 3 monitors in amongst numerous cans of beans. Hooton and I hid a camera in our shopping trolley and secretly filmed inside of Asda, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.

As the camera was hidden amongst our shopping during filming, we proceeded to hide the monitors in stacks of our favourite tinned goods for the installation.

No beans were wasted in the making of this artwork; we ate them over the next two years.
